It is my first year teaching, so a week [at the time of interview]!

I want them to know mostly that when they’re in this classroom that it’s theirs too. I want them to do their best and feel like they belong as soon as they step in.
What is your favorite part about your job?
Definitely being in my classroom, teaching what I like, and interacting with my students.
Did where you grow up have an impact on your occupation choice?

My biggest strength is making my students feel comfortable and encouraging them to try their best.

History because it’s the closest to English—or maybe an English elective!
Who was/is your biggest inspiration?
My parents because they support me in everything.
What is one thing you wish your students would take away from you and remember for life?
That this class was a place where we worked hard and made time to have fun when appropriate, and that each student can be themselves.
