There’s a new face behind the “fish bowl” glass in the library.
Mr. Zach Turley started at Beaver Area High School February 14. His job is online instructor specialist which entails making sure the students in the cyber courses are completing work on time.
Before coming to Beaver, Mr. Turley was a substitute teacher at Central Valley for two years. But now as a Bobcat, he likes the class sizes and how hard everyone is working.
He also enjoys getting to know all of the different people and what makes them tick. However, his least favorite part of the job would be having to stay in the same spot all day long—in the library’s computer lab (a.k.a. “fish bowl”).
Mr. Turley graduated Central Valley High School and then went on to West Liberty University; he was on the football team and played left guard. He graduated college in 2014.
“Outside of teaching, I enjoy coaching football and basketball at Central Valley. I am also excited to be a part of Beaver’s coaching staff,” stated Mr. Turley.
Mr. Turley will be part of the Bobcats’ track coaching staff this spring coaching the middle school team.
