After a struggling to start the season Beaver Area's Ice Cats got their first win and are looking to build off it going into two tough games in one week.
November 4 the Bobcats traveled to the Baierl Ice Complex in Cranberry to play Quaker Valley where they looked to gain some momentum against a tough opponent. Unfortunately, the Bobcats were unable to come away with the victory falling 8-0.
Looking to bounce back from the loss Beaver Area hosted Plum November 7 on their home ice at Brady’s Run Ice Arena.
The game also marked junior Roman Guido’s return for his first game of the season.
But again the Bobcats were unable to come away with the win losing 6-2 with goals scored by freshman Sammy Mecchia and Guido.
“It’s a rough start and I think we’ve done our best to overcome those obstacles—and I have good faith in the team in the upcoming years,” said senior Caden Canavesi.
Though the Bobcats are off to a rough start and they have a stretch of away games, they return home to the Brady’s Run Ice Arena December 12 when they host Montour at 8:50 p.m.
