Seniors, with graduation only a few months away, it’s time to start marking your calendars with important events!
The end of the third nine weeks is March 24, but this quarter’s Naviance assignments must be completed by March 4 (that’s this week!). The assignments include senior project forms, a senior project questionnaire, and an up-to-date resume. The details and guidelines for each assignment can be found under the advisement course on Schoology.
Once we enter the last quarter, things will speed up! Prom lands May 6 this year, and the theme is “Garden Gala”. More information on ticket sales and guests will be released closer to the time.
May 20 will be Beaver Area’s first ever “Clap Out” for this year’s graduates for which the seniors will take buses to College Square and Dutch Ridge Elementary Schools and walk through the halls one last time while the current elementary students offer a round of applause.
Senior Projects will be presented May 27 which is officially seniors’ last day. After presenting your project, you’ll turn in your iPad, pay any fines or fees you may owe, and then collect your cap and gown. (Be sure to place your cap and gown orders on the Jostens website ASAP!)
The senior banquet will be held the evening of June 1 on the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh. More information about departure time, tickets, and transportation will be released closer to the event.
Graduation practice is scheduled for the morning of June 2, and graduation will be June 3 at 6:30 in the evening. The graduation ceremony will be held in the stadium or auditorium, weather depending. If the ceremony is held indoors, guests for each graduate will be limited to four.
Congratulations, soon-to-be graduates!
