Good morning, my dear readers! I hope this beautiful October morning has been treating you with the kindness that you deserve!
My previous article was met with an abundance of wonderful messages from my wonderful readers, and I hope I chose the three questions that reflect things that we all have going on in our lives!
Our first question is from a worried pet owner:
Hello Amy! Something tells me you’re a cat lady. How do I help my cat befriend the new kitten in the house? He’s not into her always-playful attitude.
I love kitties! My daughter, Mary, recently gave me an adorable orange tabby cat and I named him Garfield after my late husband. Garfield is also not getting along with his new roommates and usually sits in the guest bedroom doing God knows what. I've tried so hard to make them be kind to each other, but they just won't make nice! What can I do?
Our next question is from a supporter of public transportation:
How do I make sure I get a spot on the bus? Middle school kids are feral.
You may be surprised to learn how much I relate to this question. Because I'm not allowed to drive anymore, I rely on the DART bus to get from point A (Jo-Ann Fabrics) to point B (my rheumatologist’s office). At times, the best seats are usually taken. To ensure I get my favorite seat, I begin to violently sob next to the person sitting in my seat. Most of the time they walk away, worried, which allows me to steal the seat for my own. My son David tells me the government is watching me through the bus's security cameras, so I always make sure to wave at them when I get on the bus.
Our last question is rather significant:
Dearest Amy, Your advice really enlightened my world view so all I want to know is: What is the meaning of life?
Oh my, what a question! I don't really have an answer, but I have some questions to ask you: What makes you happy? Who are the people in your life you love talking to? What are you looking forward to? These are all things we all live for, and I believe the meaning of life is to just live it. Every day is a blessing.
Well my friends, I believe my work for this week has been completed. Remember to keep safe and enjoy the world as much as you can. If you ever need me, I’ll be here, and you can always send me your questions in need of answering at askamy333@gmail.com.
I love you all to bits and back! May your gods be with you.
