The first Panamá paint night fundraiser was a hit! With 20 participants, students traveling to Panamá fundraised around $700 to help them on their adventures.
With myself, Georgia Engle, as the leader of the painting session, the group painted beautiful 8x10 inch misty mountainside landscapes.
After 45 minutes of painting, the participants took a break to eat some delicious items from the bake sale. There was cornbread, brownies, cookies, chips and salsa, and more. The break was finished with a fun game of trivia with a prize for the winner.
The next paint nights will be February 23, a guided abstract painting, and March 23, a guided recreation of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers.
“The paint night was so fun; I had a great time! I can’t wait to hang up my painting!” said Mrs. Abby Aschenbrenner, who attended the event with her family.
There are more fundraisers in the works, so stay tuned for some fun events. Thank you to all who came to the paint night; we can’t wait for the next one!
