It’s almost time to crown a new king of Beaver Area at the annual Mr. Beaver High competition, but before we get to the competition let’s look at what to expect.
As always, the competition is open to any junior or senior boy who is willing to show off his talent and class to a panel of judges.
The participants this year are seniors Michael DelSignore, Robert Cestra, Giovanni Nuzzo, and Jack Ray and juniors Matt Ford and Ben Balitski.
The participants will compete for the title of Mr. Beaver High as well as two free prom tickets as a prize for winning.
In order to prepare for the competition the boys will attend practices to refine their individual talents as well as learn a group dance choreographed by senior Ana Avadellas.
While planning the event, junior vice president Kaitlyn Reap said, “[planning Mr. Beaver High] is time consuming, but I know it will be worth it.”
At the competition the boys will participate in the group dance routine, model swimwear, show off their talent, and model formal outfits.
Each year guys step it up with amazing vocals, comedy skits, or special tricks, but the only way to find out what will be in store this year is to make an appearance the day of—but fun is guaranteed.
The competition will take place March 8 and tickets will be sold at the door for $5. All proceeds from this event go towards funding this year’s prom.
Snacks and drinks for concession also will be at the show for purchase.
Hope to see you there to support our Mr. Beaver High hopefuls.
