This year was tough for our Bobcats on the softball diamond, but they showed a lot of promise during their strong season despite going 2-8 overall.
The small squad was led by Coach Amy Haggart who worked with the team of mostly underclassmen (plus four juniors and no seniors).
After a tough loss to Laurel during their first game March 22, the team swung back with a decisive victory against Westerville Central March 26. Unfortunately, the team struggled with some hard-fought games but came back to defeat Montour with an incredibly powerful 12-2 score April 17.
The team was not able to clutch another victory for the year, but they showed tremendous promise for the many younger students on the squad as the team was left much smaller than in years prior.
"We all adapted to our positions very well with the hand we were dealt this year," said sophomore Rhiannon Rabassi who also notched two stolen bases this season.
Let's give a cheer for our Ladycats as we see them going into next year with more to prove!
