Disco glam among the stars . . .
Semi-formal season is upon us, and Beaver Area High School is ready to dazzle with their winter semi-formal dance. Keep reading for more dance details!
This event is being planned by the sophomore class officers to raise money for their class events but more specifically: 2024 Prom. Obviously a lot of money needs to be raised to have a prom, so this semi-formal dance is a ticket to success while being an entertaining night for all.
The theme for this year’s dance is Dancing in the Moonlight, and of course the dress code is semi formal!
Sophomore Class President, Quinn O’Leary, shared, “my officers and I have been eagerly planning this dance for the past month. [For the theme] we actually blended two ideas—disco glam and in the stars.”
The dance will be held in the school cafeteria February 11 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets will be sold during lunch periods January 26–February 8 (or until all tickets are sold) and are $15 a piece.
Remember: only 300 tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis, so make sure to buy them as soon as possible! You cannot reserve tickets, so they must be paid for on the spot with cash or check (made payable to Beaver Area School District).
Outside guests are permitted with a completed guest form which is available in the high school office or at the ticket table during lunches. Forms must be turned in by the end of the school day February 8 or your guest cannot attend.
O’Leary enthusiastically added, “people should come [to this dance] because the money we will earn will go to next year’s prom fund. Why not fundraise and have fun at the same time?!”
The other hardworking sophomore class officers include Vice President Charlotte Schultz, Secretary Sophie Burd, and Treasurer Mia Malcolm under the sponsorship of Miss Victoria Abbondanza.
Come support the class of 2025, and dance your heart out in the (cafeteria) moonlight!
