We’ve all heard that all good things must come to an end; thankfully, this challenging boys basketball season is coming to one.
February 7, the team played a home game against Blackhawk High School. Not only was this the Bobcats’ final home game of the season, it also doubled as Senior Night. Seniors Beckett Connelly, Mikal Potter, Michell May, Todd Phillips, and Kane Mateer were honored this night.
While it was a celebratory and exciting night, sadly the game ended in a loss for the Bobcats 62-31.
February 10, the boys played their last game of the difficult season against the South Side. It was an away game that ended in a triumphant final win as the boys edged out the Rams 56-55.
“I’m happy that we ended with a win; it was a long season, but it ended positively,” said senior Connelly.
The last win brings the boys basketball season to an overall record 7-15.
“I wish this season could have gone a little bit better, but I’m excited and ready to kill it on the court next season,” said junior Brady Hansen.
