Wondering what some recent Beaver Area graduates are up to? Well, we thought we’d check in with a few and find out. Anna Hammel and Bryce Ramer are loving it in Ohio while Alex Brogan is hanging around the area but keeping busy.

Anna Hammel, Kent State

What do you miss most?

Not seeing Jack Yanssens every day.

What advice would you give a high school freshman?

Have fun in high school and learn to take good notes without following slides . . . not all professors give you time to copy down note slides.

Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in high school?

Nothing. I love it here at Kent and wouldn’t change anything about high school.

Bryce Ramer, Ohio University

What do you miss most?

I miss seeing my friends from home.

What advice would you give a high school freshman?

I would say study right away and have fun in high school!

Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in high school?

I would have studied more and focused on different things or football more!

What do you miss most about high school?

All of the friends I had that are now hours away and in all different places.

What advice would you give a high school freshman?

As bad as high school may seem at times, appreciate the time and people you have there because it’s a whole new world with a lot more responsibilities after you leave.

Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in high school?

I wish I would have done something extracurricular with the school.
