Sophomores, juniors, and seniors, get ready to put on your dancing shoes for the annual Winter Dance!
The Winter semi formal is being held March 16 from 7-10 p.m in the school cafeteria—admittedly a bit later than usual.
Hosted by the sophomore class and its officers—Zane Kelley, Ryan Appel, Jeffrey Allison, and Isabella DiPietrantonio—the dance is sure to blow away the attendees with its theme of “A Fairytale Night.”
This year, the dance is on the verge of being the “spring fling” because the first day of spring is only four days later. However, it is not any of the officers’ fault.
“[The dance is] so late in the year because we wanted to have it be late winter because of the Fall Formal, but the cafeteria was basically booked all of late January and February,” Kelly explained.
But the show must go on, so the dance is still going to happen.
Sophomore class sponsor Mr. Jason Beltz is looking forward to the dance’s arrival.
“After three months of preparing, and the ‘winter dance’ becoming the—almost—‘spring dance’ . . . I think it’ll live up to its hype,” Mr. Beltz remarked.
This dance is only for grades 10-12 in accordance with past years. (Sorry freshmen, better luck next year.)
Tickets are $15 a piece and are being sold during periods 6 and 7 lunch. There is only one caveat to those interested but who still are on the fence: Tickets will not be sold at the door!
So, buy tickets ASAP, have fun with friends, and get ready to dance the night away!
