The Snack Shack is back, whack!
The school cafeteria’s beloved Snack Shack has been out of commission since the pandemic hit in early 2020, but reopened October 6. This unexpected comeback was received by an ecstatic student body.
Many students were disappointed that the Snack Shack (located next to the regular lunch lines) did not return last year when COVID restrictions were first beginning to loosen.
“I missed the Snack Shack so much when it was gone last year,” said junior Noah Majors.
The return of the Snack Shack also comes with a few new menu items including the now popular funnel cake (prepackaged, not freshly made however), which has manifested into “Funnel Cake Fridays.”
“When I heard they had funnel cake, I sprinted over!” senior Paula McCreary said.
The Snack Shack also offers a variety of chips, nachos, hot pretzels, ice cream treats, and other beverages. There are also different smoothies and hot beverages that are sometimes available. The prices of these items vary, but none are more expensive than $1.50.
“I love the Snack Shack, I’m so glad it’s back!” said junior Zoey Tice.
