February 15 and 16 the wrestling team traveled to Cannon McMillan to compete for the section and WPIAL titles.
Seniors George Peroni and Dom Reagan, junior John Hall, and sophomore Brady Earhart all did well enough during the regular season to qualify for these meets.
For the section, Peroni in the 170 point class placed second. Reagan in the 120 pound class placed third. Hall also placed third in the 106 pound class. And finally Earhart placed third in the 138 pound class.
“The section tournament overall has good competition every year. Overall, the team did well having four teammates qualify for WPIALs the following day. I am proud of our team for working hard and developing into better men each season,” said Hall.
Fortunately, all these Bobcats were able to compete for a WPIAL title as well February 16. Peroni placed third, Reagan placed eighth, Hall placed sixth, and Earhart placed seventh.
These meets were a great showcase of the team’s individual talents!
“These two meets were awesome. I am very proud that I got third in the WPIAL—now onto regionals,” commented Peroni.
But the competition didn’t end there: Peroni, Hall, and Earhart competed at IUP February 22 and 23 for regionals.
