A new athletic director is the head of the Bobcats’ athletic department and has high hopes for Beaver Area’s sports future!
We are happy to welcome Mr. Kevin Krzeczowski to Beaver Area High School as the new athletic director who replaced Mr. Alan Alcalde who left to take the athletic director position at Moon school district.
Mr. Krzeczowski attended Burgettstown High School, and then attended the home of the Presidents at Washington and Jefferson College to become a teacher. Prior to being an athletic director, Mr. Krzeczowski taught science at his alma mater: Burgettstown High School.
He was a teacher for 27 years before taking the Burgettstown athletic director position two years prior to becoming a Bobcat.
Not surprisingly, Mr. Krzeczowski is a sports fanatic for many different teams and sports, but stated that basketball will always be his favorite sport.
Despite being new to the athletic director position Mr. Krzeczowski is not new to the Bobcats. He worked as an assistant girls basketball coach for the Bobcats three years ago.
Mr. Krzeczowski said that he wants to, “make every opportunity available to our athletes,” and that his biggest goal this year is to, “get as many teams into the postseason as possible.”
With big goals and aspirations, Mr. Krzeczowski feels his biggest strength that will help his transition into Beaver Area and our athletic program is simply “organization.”
Out of all of the perks and opportunities that come with being the Bobcats’ athletic director Mr. Krzeczowski stated that his favorite part of his new job is being able to see his son (junior Nick Krzeczowski) finish out his last two years of high school.
He also explained that having the athletic director office door open is new to the school and encourages anyone with questions to stop by while the door is open.
