Beaver Area High School and Middle School’s talented orchestra have once again surpassed expectations. Although Covid has limited many things, the orchestra students still were able to perform a concert showcasing their skills for a limited audience March 2.
With a limit of 100 people to the auditorium, including musicians and tech crew, the performance was very different from previous concerts. However, in usual music department fashion, the presentation was as show-stopping as ever.
The middle school students opened the concert with a limited audience of well-separated parents occupying the auditorium seats. A break was given in the middle, allowing middle school parents to leave and those supporting the high schoolers to enter the room.
High schoolers finished the concert with their set, putting on a display of talent. Most performers were able to join in-person, but a few elected to perform virtually. Thankfully, Zoom proved reliable for the concert, and those joining from home were able to do so without incident.
There are rumors a recording was made of the performance so that those who were unable to attend could enjoy the concert. Unfortunately, orchestra director Mrs. Kristina Graham was unavailable for comment on that information at this time.
Congratulations to the orchestra on another remarkable—albeit unorthodox—performance!
