Look out, Five Guys . . . There’s a new burger chain opening in Robinson . . .
Popular fast food chain Shake Shack, known for their burgers, milkshakes, and crinkle-cut fries, is coming to Robinson to replace the Quaker Steak & Lube that moved out over a year ago. The building is located next to a Sam’s Club and will also be in the same complex as a Chipotle and next door to Chick-fil-A (a fast-food trifecta).
“I am hyped to have a Shake Shack opening close by, and I am excited to try it out,” said senior burger connoisseur Derrick Anderson.
As of now the planned opening date day is December 19 according to the location’s general manager.
However, this is just the planned date meaning it can change if unforeseen circumstances arise. (Plus, restaurants often have “soft openings” earlier than the announced opening date as they make sure everything is running smoothly.)
If you are looking for a job and interested by this new opportunity, Shake Shack is hiring for this location right now at shakeshack.com.
Shake Shack originally began as a hot dog stand that operated in a park in New York City in 2001. Eventually it evolved into a fast food chain starting out in New York and branching out to other states. And while now best known for their burgers, hot dogs remain a menu item.
In 2015 the company became publicly owned and is now on the stock market with shares available to buy.
This isn't the fist location that is opening up in the Pittsburgh area as there was one that recently opened in May in The Terminal building in the Strip District.
Senior Zack Masters said, “I was very excited to hear that one of my favorite restaurants is coming to our area, and I will be checking it out when they open.”
Will you be planning on making the trip to the new location during winter break or sometime in the near future?
