The Track season has officially begun and is in full sprint.
The Bobcats recently took home the win in their first scrimmage of the season March 9 in a multi-school meet against Rocherster, Western Beaver, and Carlynton.
March 19 the Bobcats hosted Mohawk and Rochester. The start time was 3:30 p.m. and it ended in another victory for the Bobcats.
The next away meet is tomorrow at Central Valley High School. This is a highly anticipated match-up given that the Beaver Area Bobcats and Central Valley Warriors are rivals. The start time will also be 3:30 p.m.
The Bobcats are coached by Jess Simpson and a staff of assistants.
“This is my second year participating in track and field, I am very hyped for the season to begin,” shared sophomore Dylan Amodie about the new track season.
Amodie participates in the 200 meter dash, high jump, and the 4 by 100 relay.
“I’m excited for this season—I think we’re going to be pretty good,” sophomore Emery Simpson added.
Simpson participates in triple jump, high jump, 300 meter hurdles, and the 100 meter hurdles.
