Anyone remember a guy named Donald Trump? Tall, orange, wealthy, and, oh yeah, the 45th President of the United States . . . Well he’s back, better than ever, and running for President in 2024 making liberals all over the country cry once again.
November 15, Trump gave a speech from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, to which he previously hinted at a “very big announcement,” to formally announce his campaign for the White House in the next election.
Was this a surprise to anyone? Not at all. In fact anyone who isn’t living under a rock probably saw this coming the minute the results for the 2020 election were called announcing Trump's defeat to Sleepy Joe Biden. But nonetheless, liberals everywhere were panicking, and there was a surprisingly heterogeneous reaction amongst conservatives.
It seems the Republican Party is almost split in half when it comes to opinions on Trump; most support his opinions but not necessarily him as a person. Some are still die-hard Trump fans and are rejoicing at his bid for re-election, while others are hoping to see some fresh blood in the race for the White House.
This division leads to a risky, frightening situation for Republicans.
There are rumors that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is looking to run for President in 2024, and if he does, his chances of winning the nomination are pretty high. If this happens, even if it’s not DeSantis and it’s some other prominent Republican, it’s expected that Trump will run in a third party. If this happens, then the Republican vote will be split, some sticking with the Republicans, while others follow Trump and vote for him via third party—which would guarantee the Democrats maintaining control of the White House.
But if Trump wins the nomination, which as long as he runs with no prominent opposition it is expected he will, he could potentially win. I think that more and more Americans are waking up and realizing the absolute insanity of certain woke liberal policies as well as the weakness of Joe Biden. People realize America needs a strong leader who will defend us—not humiliate us.
Personally, I’ll vote for Trump in a heartbeat because I believe that he is what America needs right now. He’s proven that he is a strong leader who will stand up for our country. It’s also no secret that I cannot stand career politicians, which is exactly what Trump is not; he is a businessman. For our country to succeed it needs to be run as a successful business would, not as charity giving handouts to anyone who says please and thank you.
It’s time to Make America Great Again. Again.
