All good things must come to an end, but you probably wouldn’t call the boys' soccer season a "good thing."
The team concluded their season at home against Chartiers Valley, where the Bobcats lost an extremely hard-fought game 4-3—a remarkably high scoring game for soccer.
Senior and goalie Tyler Haczela's favorite memory from this season came from this game.
"I was able to stop their penalty kick," Haczela recalled.
In the end, the team was unable to achieve the goal set by their coach and many of their players to make it to the playoffs. The team remained second-to-last in the section after the Chartiers Valley game.
This ending to the season did not deter junior Krystof Purtell from thinking optimistically about next season, however.
"By this time next season, we'll be ballin'," Purtell so elegantly predicted.
Only time will be able to tell if the 2021-22 boys' soccer team will truly be able to achieve ballin' status. With enough hard work and luck, ballin' may be within reach. Ballin'.
