Everyone loves Michael, but have you seen the movie?
Let me give a brief overview—and try not to spoil it for you.
First premiering in theaters April 24, audiences have been able to watch pop legend Michael Jackson perform music once again, but this time by his nephew, Jaafar Jackson.
Plus, it’s been a box office hit week after week out earning all of its current competition.
This film captures Jackson’s personal life from childhood to adulthood in the 80’s.
Starting with his childhood, audiences see how he and his brothers originally started as the Jackson 5, a pop group directed by their father.
However, Micheal’s father was seen as controlling and mean towards him, which angered many fans for Michael.
Throughout the different years covered in the film, people can see how Micheal grew up and how he began to choose his own musical path and begin his own solo work leading to his ultimate coronation: King of Pop.
Seeing the process of his solo career is very important to the documentary.
The biopic omits nothing—even the infamous Pepsi commercial incident.
I’ll keep it at that for now.
If you haven’t seen the movie yet, go see it: you’ll absolutely love it.
