Wait . . . Valentine’s Day is just eight days away and you didn’t buy anything yet? Whether it’s your girlfriend, boyfriend, or you two “are just talking,” there’s still tons of options for last minute presents to purchase for that special someone before the big day.
Candy and Treats
The classic and safe gift for your someone special on Valentines Day—some might say it’s the cop-out answer and there’s no thought in it, but it can be personalized. You can buy them their favorite candy or bake them their favorite baked treat. For even more fun, you could bake the baked good in a heart shape with a heart-shaped cookie cutter. To personalize it even more you can arrange the snacks in a cute little basket and attach a card.
Legos
Something you and your special someone can do together is build Legos, so why not buy them a set for Valentine’s Day? This gift can be personalized too with all the Lego set themes available now. Any Lego set is great, but if you want something a bit more cute to match Valentine’s Day the Lego Flower sets are a great idea!
Stuffed Animals
Who doesn’t love a cuddly animal friend that will remind you of a special someone? There are some great stuffed animal brands that are beloved by many Beaver Area students. Jelly Cat, Build-a-Bear, and Squishmellos are great brands that almost anyone will love.
Heart-Shaped Trinkets
Now this section is quite iffy. Many heart-shaped objects are cheap looking and might just get thrown on a shelf. For an example, if you go down the heart-shaped path for jewelry, many people will prefer the dainty silver or gold hearts rather than something big and red. If you want something heart shaped that’s not jewelry, try Pinterest or Etsy. I’ve see great heart-shaped candles and hair clips there, hint.
Air Tags
Air Tags are a gift that is almost guaranteed to be used by your special someone. Everyone loses something every now and then and Air Tags will be the perfect way to find that lost item. Air Tags can be found on Amazon for only $29. (Disclaimer: I’m not recommending that you use Air Tags to stalk your sweetie.)
Self-Care Package
Whether it’s a beauty kit for her or a shave kit for him, who doesn’t like pampering themselves? You can collect the items yourself individually and pack them into a cute set, buy a readymade set, or buy a monthly self-care subscription. Some great ideas for self-care items are bath bombs, shea butter, epsom salt, face masks, jade eye masks, and shower bombs.
Soft and Cozy
Everyone loves feeling comfortable, so get something to make your Valentine feel that way. Fluffy socks, sweaters, and PJ pants are great for everyone. Some brands you might want to check out are Cabin Socks, The Comfy, Lazy One, and American Eagle. Other fluffy ideas are warm and fluffy blankets. Great blankets are available from places as convenient as Target or Walmart.
Custom Couple Gifts
This one is definitely for the cheesy couples. Etsy is great if you want a custom present for your significant other. You can buy cute figurines, trinkets, or posters with both of your names or photos together. A great Etsy recommendation is their custom paint-by-number where you can paint a picture of the two of you. The only downside: it might not be in by Valentine’s Day unless you order from a close seller now.
DIY
Sometimes the best gift doesn’t cost much money, but it’s made by you. Plus, it’s a great idea for a last-minute gift. Knitting a hat, making a bracelet, or carving something sweet could be the best option for Valentine’s Day. The perfect way to make something for your Valentine is to think of something they like and make something along those lines. Michael’s craft store will most likely have the materials to make whatever you need to make.
No matter what you choose, remember that personal is always better—it’s not about how much you spend; it’s about how much you care.
