Coach’s name:
Noah Medich
Player’s Name:
Junior Austin Sharpless junior
Player: What are you most looking forward to this season?
“I am looking forward to a long baseball season full of wins. I’m [eager] to be on the field and improve my game as much as I can,” said Sharpless.
Who are the player(s) your competition should be looking out for this season?
“I think that other teams should definitely look out for [junior] Jack Ray and [senior] Garrett Pander. Jack is a very good pitcher who can mix around a lot of different pitches, and he racks up lots of strikeouts. Garrett is a lefty hitter that has a smooth swing and constantly hits the ball great,” said Sharpless.
Who will be your toughest competition this season?
“I think that our biggest competition this year will be Montour because they’re a really well coached team that has lots of good players. They’re also a pretty big school, so that gives them an advantage,” said Sharpless.
