Mikayla Obrist, Fairfield University
What do you miss most? I miss getting ready and going to the football games.
What advice would you give a high school freshman? You have the world in front of you right now. Make the most of every day with your friends, your classes, your teachers, the sports games, etc. Everyone says it but time really does fly by. Make every day your own!
Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in high school? I’m not sure what I would have done differently; I’m happy with how everything turned out.
What is your favorite thing about college so far? Having no early classes!

What do you miss most? I really miss seeing and hanging out with my friends every day.
What advice would you give a high school freshman? Have fun and make friends; the grades will come later!
Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in high school? I would have definitely tried to learn different study habits.
What is your favorite thing about college so far? My favorite thing about college so far is either not having to get up until 8:30 a.m. or being able to meet so many new people.

What advice would you give a high school freshman? Enjoy high school while you can because it will be over before you know it.
Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in high school? Definitely [would have] learned how to study better before I went to college.
What is your favorite thing about college so far? My favorite thing would be taking classes I’m passionate about and making new friends!

What do you miss most? I miss my routine and being able to hang out with all my friends and seeing my favorite teachers.
What advice would you give a high school freshman? I would tell the freshmen not to stress out and just try to experience as many new things as possible.
Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently in high school? I’d try to take my hockey career more seriously. I realized I had more potential than I thought when I was a junior, but I felt like it was a little too late.
What is your favorite thing about college so far? My favorite thing about college is being able to set a plan for myself and stick to it. It leads to a lot of free time and makes it less stressful.
