Beaver Area Hockey is still skating through the tough season with a losing record 0-9. They might not be winning on the scoreboard, but they are winning the small victories by improving their skills.
The team faced Freeport November 29 hoping this could be their first win, but sadly they came out disappointed with another loss (7-1).
While the team keeps hitting bumps on their way to their first win of the season they are improving on a week-to-week basis.
“We are learning as a TEAM, Together Everyone Achieves More, than we could as any one single individual,” exclaimed Coach Brian Vongray.
“I think we are finally starting to come together as a team, which is what is needed to be most effective. We also are becoming well-rounded players thanks to our coaches,” said freshman right wing Luke Masters.
Playing one of the best teams in the division, West Allegheny December 6, the team tried their hardest and skated through the tough game losing 13-1.
“We are working hard and pushing towards our first win, but we are always just having fun as a team,” stated senior left wing Nick Emmi
The Bobcats’ next home game will be at Brady’s Run Ice Arena January 10 against Blackhawk; the start time is 6:45 p.m. Hope to see you there!
