Have a passion for writing but don’t always have enough time to sit down and write? Interested in meeting others who like to write? Want to meet local authors who share your passion? Join writing club!
Every Monday and Wednesday, Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Shugert hold a writing session for students looking for some time to write and ultimately do what they love to do. Monday sessions are usually held in the library while Wednesdays are held in Mrs. Hill’s room, Room 210.
Plus, students get a chance to meet with and learn from local authors.
Two weeks ago Mrs. Stahl visited to talk to the students about the way to organize and plan a book. She also explained her experiences in writing and how she got started on her books. In fact, she is currently writing a fantasy novel that will slowly but surely make its way to the local book stores.
Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Shugert plan to have more local authors come in to share their experiences with writing and to help the students brainstorm ideas for their own books.
“The writing club that Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Bechdel are working to put together is a good outlet for students to express themselves through writing,” explained Mrs. Shugert.
This is one club that’s all write.
