Spectator limitations aren’t stopping these Beaver Area Bobcats from bringing their own energy to the volleyball court.
Playing without spectators hasn’t greatly affected these volleyball players; however, they have to create some noise and motivation themselves.
“The spectator limitation have greatly affected us as a team because we have just learned to bring our own energy into the gym and work on bettering ourselves as a team instead of worrying about fans,” stated senior Talia Gallagher.
These Bobcats also are staying healthy throughout this season.
“We’ve actually been very healthy this year and haven’t had any key injuries that have hurt us,” explained Gallagher.
They plan on staying active—and healthy—to hopefully have a long run in the post-season tournament.
The Bobcats also have a lot going for them as a team. Their front rent hitters are a big asset for the Bobcats.
“We have very strong offense, and everyone in our front row is 5 foot 10 or taller which gives us a huge advantage along with our communication,” stated senior Eden McElhaney.
After a win against New Castle High School, the Bobcats play Lincoln Park Performing Arts tomorrow at home. We are all hoping for another Bobcats victory.
