Every Monday after school and Wednesday before school, Art Club meets to create projects and prepare for the art show.

The Art Club leaders this year are seniors Zane Atkins, Rachael Lamb, Abby Dawson, and myself, Georgia Engle. We are very excited for the art show this year and we have been working hard to generate ideas and create awesome art with club members.

Outside of the art cove there are many records hung on the wall that art club members have drawn on. The club will have these on display at the art show and there is much more to come! This year’s art show theme is Disco, so the club plans to use record decor and disco themed art.

In addition to show preparation, a few weeks ago the club practiced drawing with their non dominant hands which resulted in some really funny art work. They hosted a Halloween party and practiced sketching with pens and still life objects. This past week they completed a huge finger painting poster for the art show.

Everyone is welcome to join the club at anytime! The goal is to have a fun, easygoing time where club members eat snacks, drink Fresca, and play disco music while preparing for the art show.
