Coming into the 2022-2023 basketball season the Bobcats have high hopes . . . for hoops
The Bobcats are looking to bounce back this year after they fell one game short of the playoffs last season. But things are looking up for the Bobcats after they only lost two seniors to graduation this past year.
Last year the Bobcats finished the season 9-13 and 5-9 in section play. That record earned them sixth out of eighth place in the section.
In the Bobcats’ section this season they will play one home game and one away game against Ambridge, Blackhawk, Central Valley, Hopewell, Lincoln Park, and North Catholic.
“I’m very excited for this season and we all have high expectations for this year and we are ready to go and get this season kicked off,” said sophomore Elias Kazas.
The Bobcats season officially tipped off December 2 in the Brentwood Tip-off Classic when they netted a 65-41 win against the Plum Mustangs.
The Bobcats home opener will be December 6 in a non-section game against Burgettstown. Their first section game will be December 16 at Lincoln Park Performing Arts school.
“I am proud of the work the boys put in this offseason to get ready—and now it’s time for it to pay off,” said head coach Casey Kaiser.
This week, come support the Bobcats as they tip off against Burgettstown December 6 and Freedom Area December 9. Both games are at home and tip off at 7:30 p.m.
