‘Twas the night after Thanksgiving, and all through the town, all the people were stirring, without a single frown; the lights were strung from trees with care, as celebrations filled the air; the children were bundled all snug in their coats; while music filled the air with sweet and festive notes.
November 25, the town of Beaver reigned in the holiday season with its annual Light Up Night celebrations. The much anticipated event occurs the evening after Thanksgiving.
The evening’s festivities included a parade featuring Beaver Area High School’s very own marching band and cheerleaders, as well as many other community organizations.
Throughout the night there were many activities to get everyone into the holiday spirit including horse drawn carriage rides, live entertainment, and pictures with Santa.
Third Street was closed to traffic and stores stayed open late for all patrons to enjoy goodies and treats and maybe get some holiday shopping done.
The night closed out with a brilliant fireworks display right over Third Street. If you were able to attend, hopefully Light Up Night brought you some holiday cheer.
