Playoff bound? It’s looking good . . .
As the Beaver Bobcats football team nears the end of their season the Bobcats are sitting at 6-3 with one regular season game left.
The Bobcats have one game left against the Hopewell Vikings. The Bobcats are sitting at 6-3 with their only 3 loses going to the Western Beaver Golden Beavers, the West Mifflin Titans, and finally the Avonworth Antelopes.
The Bobcats are third in the Western Hills Conference behind the Avonworth Antelopes, and the West Mifflin Titans.
At the time of writing, the Bobcats could clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Vikings October 28 at 7 p.m.
After the Bobcats last two dominant wins over the Seton Lasalle Rebels and the Quaker Valley Quakers were the Bobcats beat both teams with a combined score of 107-22, victory over the Vikings is eminent.
The Bobcats beat the Rebels 59-13 October 14 where the Bobcats scored eight touchdowns with lead rusher and most touchdowns by senior Liam Gibson who totaled 200 rushing yards and three TD’s, along with sophomore Qualan Cain and sophomore Amari Jackson both scoring one touchdown each, and finally the last three touchdowns were racked up by seniors Issac Pupi with one rushing and two passing touchdowns to seniors Josiah Santiago and Gerrell Leeper. Finally, junior Evan Baker booted eight field goals.
The Bobcats moved to 5-3 for the season.
Bobcats then hammered the Quakers 48-9 October 21 with seven touchdowns. Five were scored by seniors Jack Korman, Gerrell Leeper, Dylan Porto, Gibson, and Frankie Chirico along with the final two being scored by Cain and a pick-six by Brady Mayo. Baker put it through the uprights six times.
The QV win brought the Bobcats to 6-3.
