The wait is finally over for the wrestling Bobcats to return to the mats.
The Bobcats had a rocky start to the season but have good hope for the upcoming matches. They are 0-2 right now with a loss to the Moon Tiger, 47-21, and a loss to the Butler Bulldogs, 70-6.
The Bobcats have two lone seniors this year who have been helping the team tremendously—Mark Ramer and Brooks Miller.
“We are a young team with a core group of freshmen and sophomores. Mark Ramer and Brooks Miller are our lone seniors leading our team this year and have been great in keeping a positive attitude while helping the younger wrestlers,” stated head coach Alan Alcalde.
“I won my match via pin which is always good,” added Ramer about the most recent match.
“The match went well, but we still have to work on some things,” explained Miller.
January 20 the Cats face the New Castle Hurricanes where they will search for their first win of the season and section.
Coach Alcalde has a good feeling about this match because they have been working hard and focusing on the simple things that make big differences.
