Time to get back to school . . . Or your iPad that is.
Virtual learning has brought about new obstacles this year—including how to navigate Beaver Area High School’s six-day schedule rotation in an online week that includes four days of face-to-face online classes and one day (Wednesday) of offline course work and tutoring.
The six-day intervals will still remain, but the “odd days” (one, three, and five) will consist of the same classes. Classes will also be identical on “even days” (two, four, and six).
For example, a student who has PE class on a day one, that student would be expected to attend that class on days three and five and vice versa.
Will Wednesday’s be considered a rotation day? That answer is yes. Wednesdays do count as a rotation day even if students aren’t meeting face-to-face via Zoom.
Confusing? Yes, but most students are trying to make the best of it.
“I feel like this school year is going to be a little unorganized because of all the ‘what ifs’ with COVID,” stated junior Kara Huber, “but I think this year will be as good as it could be in a time like this.”
Students are able to monitor rotation-days on PowerSchool or on the WEKO Schoology page.
This year will definitely be an interesting one. This is a friendly reminder to keep up with the daily rotation and never stop learning.
