Students headed to Panamá with Mrs. Rachel Zahn this summer are hosting a paint night fundraiser.
For $30, you can participate in guided painting lessons directed by AP Art students and take home a personal 8x10 inch acrylic painting.
“I love that these fundraisers are student led,” Mrs. Zahn said.
Thursday, the first painting session will be a sunset/mountain composition. February 23 will be a guided abstract piece, and March 23 will be a recreation of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers.
The painting nights will take place in C-7 (Mrs. Zahn’s classroom) from 6-8 p.m. where there will also be a bake sale with fresh baked goods and bread made by our students.
Participants also are free to bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
All painting supplies will be provided.
All are welcome to attend these events, and any donation is greatly appreciated. If you are interested in participating, use the QR code in the picture above to sign-up for a spot. All proceeds will go to the students headed to Panamá to aid them on this incredible journey.
“It’s important to me that every student has the opportunity to travel. Fundraising is something we need to do from the start to make traveling more equitable, especially because I never had that opportunity when I was a young student,” said Mrs. Zahn.
