Donald Trump is back (did he ever really leave?) and he’s calling for the termination of the Constitution.
In a recent ramble on his social media platform, Truth Social, the former president continued his baseless accusations of voter fraud (it’s been two years, Don), stating, “A massive fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the constitution.”
Uh oh.
For those out of the loop, the Constitution contains the Bill of Rights which ensures the government can’t infringe upon our rights to free speech, to vote, not to be illegally searched, and whatnot.
His words wouldn’t be so worrying if he didn’t have such a large base of supporters. And for one, they already attempted to take over our nation's capital.
Speaking of which, last week, well known Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor-Greene stated, “If Steve Bannon and I had organized [the January 6 insurrection], we would have won. Not to mention, we would’ve been armed.”
Not the most comforting thing to hear from a member of the House of Representatives.
These individuals have a significant amount of influence over their bases, so much so that Trump has still got a shot of being re-elected president in 2024.
To add to the insanity, Trump recently dined with Ye (Kanye West), the rapper-turned Nazi sympathizer, and white nationalist/Holocaust-denier Nick Fuentes.
Now, Trump does state he had no idea who Nick Fuentes was, but there’s still one other detail.
The dinner was organized by Ye’s recently fired campaign manager, Milo Yiannopoulos, who is most known as a professional troll and for getting fired from his position at Breitbart after endorsing . . . wait for it . . . pedophilia.
Trump has even found himself in more legal troubles.
Two Trump organization companies have been found guilty on multiple charges of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records connected to a 15-year scheme to defraud tax authorities by failing to report and pay taxes on top executives’ compensation. And yet Trump and his supporters talk so much of “law and order.”
Law and order will certainly have its way when his organization is sentenced in January for upwards of $1.61 million.
But hey, Trump is a good businessman, right?
