So many new faces this year . . . Beaver Area High School welcomes Mrs. Sally Wilson as the main office’s new secretary replacing the now-retired Mrs. Brendlinger. After attending high school here she is very excited to be back!
Throughout the day Mrs. Wilson answers the phones, manages the door of people coming in and out, (like when your parent drops off your forgotten iPad) and anything Dr. Murray may need her to do throughout the day. She also assigned every student their locker and manages the parking passes among countless other responsibilities that keep the school running.
Before returning to Beaver Area Mrs. Wilson worked at a preschool for six years.
After graduating high school, Mrs. Wilson attended CCBC for two years and then transferred to Geneva College to finish her degree. Mrs. Wilson was actually a business major in college believe it or not.
“I really enjoy working at Beaver so far! It feels really good to be back at Beaver and in the school,” exclaimed Mrs. Wilson.
“Although it is challenging I really enjoy working with the students and being back in a friendly school environment,” said Mrs. Wilson.
She also explained that her biggest challenge is trying to learn and remember all the teacher’s and student’s names. Needless to say many members of the teaching staff have changed since Mrs. Wilson’s high school years.
Outside of work Mrs. Wilson enjoys watching her two sixth graders play ice hockey.
“After I’m out of work I don’t have much time before going to the ice rink for multiple practices and games, but I love watching them play!” exclaimed Mrs. Wilson.
